"We've brought in 100 million barrels of oil. They're in Houston. Now they send another 100 million barrels. This is like partnership. We're having a very good relationship with them," Trump said at the Florida State Press (American) on March 9.

Two days earlier, he also spoke at a Florida convention that the US was receiving "large oil" from Venezuela. "Many large oil companies participate. They make more money, and we get some of it," Trump revealed.

Last weekend, Internal Minister Doug Burgum said the Trump administration was making Venezuela a major oil provider for the US. This turning point helped to compensate for the Middle East supply interruption and ease the pressure of the global sea transport crisis.

"Venezuela was once punished, but is currently a strategic ally with the largest oil reserves in the world and does not face the risk of choking as in the Hormuz Channel", Burkum said on *Fox News.

He claimed Venezuelan oil could flow into America "freestyle", from which help reduce gas prices in this country. "President Trump understands that energy security means national security and guarantees American affordability", Burgum explains.

Since the U.S. - Israel raided Iran on 28/2, the price of gasoline in the U.S. went on and on. On March 9, U.S. Motors Association statistics (AAA) showed the country's average gas price was $33,48 dollars a gallon (0.92 a liter), increasing 17% over the warhead. This has been the highest since 2024.

Burgum's statements are consistent with recent American movements in order to increase the import of crude oil from Venezuela. Last week, the Venezuela PDVSA National Oil Company signed a new contract to supply crude oil and oil products to oil plants in America. These agreements were in an effort to restore trade relations with neighboring countries, and to bring Venezuelan oil back to large American supply chains.

After months of escalation, Washington, back in January, opened a raid campaign, forcing President Nicolas Madduro and his wife. America then took control of Venezuelan oil exports. The money collected from the South American country's oil trade was transferred to a fund supervised by the US in Qatar. U.S. Energy Minister once said sales according to the oil deal between Washington and Caracas expected to reach $2 billion in February.

On March 5, the US announced re-establishing diplomatic relations and Consulting with Venezuela. The U.S. Department of State said this was "a favorable condition for joint efforts to promote stability, support economic recovery in Venezuela".
