Prior to the 4th World Cup as a French coach, Deschamps said he did not take the time to think about what had happened in 1998 or 2018, twice entering the world's summit with his presence.

"I just think about today and tomorrow. It's who I am", Deschamps said on the FIFA homepage. "What happened in 1998 or 2018 will always stay in memory, but the past cannot change. What's important is what we'll do next".

Deschamps was the French quarterback of the 1998 World Cup championship on the home field as captain, before leading the Russian coronation team in 2018. He admitted the role in two different victories, but the emotions they bring are unique. "I'm lucky to win many titles at the club level, including Champions League, but no World Cup matches", he added. "Our names remain the same, but from then on there will always be two more words: world champion".

There are only Deschamps, Mario Zagallo and Franz Beckett Cobalt who has won the World Cup over both player and coach. If France shines this summer, he will become the first World Cup champion twice as a coach and once as a player, at the same time being able to finish the series three consecutive times into the World Cup final.

On the line, France owns many of the stars that are gaining a high level. Ousmane Dembele has just contributed to the PSG protection of Champions League, Michael Olise played impressively in Bayern Munich, while Captain Kylian Mbappe finished the season with 15 goals to become King of the Champions Networks League.

In addition, Desire Doue, Rayan Cherki and Marcus Trump also competed in major ice. Even so, Deschamps claimed that possessing many talents was not a guarantee of success. "They can't go out in the yard at once," he remarked. "We have many promising players, but the important thing is to create a bond, not to let personal egos influence the collective. The team needs balance and the ability to combine between players".

According to Deschamps, the biggest difference between the present generation and the 2018 championship formation is in experience. Pillars that once crowned in Russia had previously experienced World Cup 2014 and Euro 2016, while many present-day players were only beginning to accumulate experiences.

Even so, he asked the students to maintain the highest sense of responsibility when wearing the national team. "From the first day 14 years ago, I told that when they went to the French Draft, they did not come to receive but came to devote," Deschamps said.

When asked about plans after the 2026 World Cup, the French military commander admitted not to think of the future. "French is the greatest thing ever to come in my career," he said. "I've been attached to the 25-year team, including 11 years on the field and 14 years on the training seat. I don't think I'll find anything better. But in life, nobody knows what".
