-# The Mexican subjugate is banned from the 'World Cup' sign
The street food merchants in Mexico are warned to be fined if illegal use of phrases and symbols has been registered by FIFA as a copyrighted World Cup 2026. According to local media, the taco stand and many small business households will not be suspended with banners such as "World Cup 26", "Copa Mundial 26" or "FIFA World Cup" to avoid violations of FIFA's commercial rights. This is part of an effort to protect the official sponsors of the tournament.

Cops escort reporters into the field
Security was tightened around Azteca Field before the opening of the 2026 World Cup. As noted by reporters present at the scene, police forces appear densely in the area around the yard. A group of reporters were even escorted by police cars through the back routes of the stadium to avoid traffic, according to Daly Mail. On the way, many CVs thought the convoy was a team car, so they followed and shouted. The air was turbulent but somewhat reflected the chaos of the tournament's opening day.

The tournament took place in three U.S., Canada, Mexico with 48 teams and 104 games, causing air travel to skyrocket. Greenly Climate Technology Company based in Paris, France estimates the total emissions of 7.8 million tons of CO2, twice as much as the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Some other studies even predicted that the figure could achieve 9 million tons. 87% of the emissions came from the movement of spectators and teams, mainly by aircraft, due to the tournament's extension of over 16 municipality.
Experts claim that FIFA lacks responsibility and "no experience" in calculations, when initially did not send the audience's schedule into the report. Many opinions accused the organization of "greening" (greenwashing) after having promised to reduce half of its emissions in 2030 and attain carbon neutral into 2040.

How will weather affect the 2026 World Cup?
The weather was forecasted as one of the factors that may have significantly affected the 2026 World Cup. Coach Thomas Tuchel had his own British training for adapting to hot conditions in North America.
The opening match between Mexico and South Africa took place in temperatures of around 24 degrees Celsius, but many other venues of the tournament were even more extreme when combining high temperatures, high humidity and high terrain compared to sea level. The quarterback Declan Rice even joked that his mother was not pleased to see his son burned to the ground in the same photo of England.

Commenting on BBC, former guard Micah Richards claimed that the ability to adapt to humidity would play a significant role in the tournament this year. According to you, South American teams can benefit from this condition. Richards, however, appreciated Spain's opportunity due to football control, helping players save their bodies in extreme weather conditions.

Just before the opening of the 2026 World Cup in Mexico City, the league faced mass controversy on the lawn. Thousands of teachers protesting on wages and retirement regimes have built the "city of tents" near the fan area zone, forcing authorities to increase security. Many social, environmental, and human rights organizations also take advantage of events to speak out of inequality, organizational costs, and environmental impacts.

On Reforma Avenue, Mexico City, many monuments were covered with the banner "While FIFA seeks profit, mothers still seek their children". This is a reminder of more than 170,000 people missing in Mexico, mostly young women and settlers, victims of the war against drugs from the state government. The Mexican government has mobilized 100,000 police and soldiers to prevent the protests taking place over the past few days.
High fares continued to be controversial as nearly 170,000 board tickets were still sold on official platforms. Meanwhile, U.S. immigration issues affect many CVs, journalists, and football officials. Somali referee Omar Artan was removed from the World Cup after not being allowed to enter the United States.
