FIFA will launch improved version of video refporation (VAR) system with semi-automatic superior technology, which aims to shorten the time of decision-making and reduce delay status in the showcase of the referee's assistant.

According to this, the system will send sound warning in real time if a player falls into a clear position (from over 10 cm). Previously, tests at the FIFA World Cup and Intercontental Cup only triggered warning when the player was superior to over 50 cm.

Even so, the referee's assistant is the one who decides the time of the game and stops. In some situations where the system error is suspected, they can keep the flag to ensure safety, although FIFA claims to have integrated several backup mechanisms to limit errors.

The new technology is still limited when it is impossible to determine the exact circumstances of too close or when many players stand close together. The system also applies only to opulent situations in place, not dealing with subjectively-reviewed contradicts such as whether the player interferes with the situation.

FIFA expected this change to help reduce controversy, restrict the game and reduce the risk of injury caused by the situations that continued to play football while should have been distinguished. Prior to that, the Taiwo Awoniyi Preliminary of Nottingham Forest had been in a coma after a collision with the vertical column in a case of slow refaret assistant flag.
