The market is under pressure due to strong US dollar and is concerned about inflation as the price of crude oil skyrockets. If inflation in the U.S. accelerates, it is more likely that the Federal Reserve (Fed) will maintain current interest for much longer. The high interest rate makes inferior gold, as this precious metal does not pay fixed interest.
Fed plans a policy meeting on 17-18/3. Many economists expect this organ to wait until June or July to reduce interest rates. Members of the Fed Governors' Council Christopher Waller argue that the acceleration of oil prices is "a single event", not requiring the Fed to react. Even so, he admitted that unrest would occur if the conflict continued and the price of oil continued to rise.

In Japan, Nikkei 225 indexes are currently dropping 4.5%, down to under 53,000 points for the first time since 6/2. Topix also dropped 5.8%. The SoftBank Telecom Giant is in Japan's strongest drop group, at the loss of up to 11%. Stocks related to chips, such as Advantest and Lasertec dropped nearly 10%.
The Chinese market just opened went down. Shanghai Commodus currently lost 1,3%. The Seng Compensation Hang fell by 3%.
Future indicators on the American stock market also declined as the price of crude oil increased. The future DJIA lost 1.5%.S&P 500 dropped 1.6%, Nasdaq 100 lost 1.6%.
The price of crude oil in the world has increased by about 30%, over $100 a barrel, highest since mid-2022. This took place after major oil production countries in the Middle East, such as Kuwait, Iran and UAE reduced production by the Hormuz Channel - the most important seaway transport with the global energy market - more paraplegic than a week ago.
Even so, on the Truth Social Network on 8 March, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that "the price of oil rising in short term" was just a "very small price" to pay for the removal of nuclear threat from Iran.
