Less than five weeks ago, Luca had to go to the operating table after a strong impact with the Thalysian predecessor of Almeria in the Second Division of Spain.

Luca was born in 1998, shortly before his father joined him in the French World Cup championship on his home field. While Zinedine Zidane became the world football symbol with the World Cup championship and the Golden Balls the same year in the quarterback position, his son chose to be the goalkeeper.

The goalkeeper said Grandpa was particularly happy when he decided to wear the Algerian team. "I spoke to him before competing for the national team and he was extremely happy", Luca added. "Every time I was summoned, he called and said I made the right decision, that he was very proud of me".

He also reveals receiving full support from his well - known father. "In my father's words, I had to make a choice for myself. You can give me advice, but the final decision must be my own", Luca.

As soon as he received a connection from the head and chairman of the Algerian FM, 28 - year - old capital knew he wanted to represent the country. "I want to honor my grandfather by wearing a national team. The next fight shirt has my name for you," he said.

Luca was one of the four sons of Zidane who pursued a career in football. The third Theo Zidane appears in a Cordoba shirt. Elyaz competed for Real Betis's reserve team, and you've been retired from work since 2024.
