Qatar's LNG production is equivalent to 20% of global supply. At the Kurdish autonomous district in Iraq, companies such as the DNO, Gulf Tribune Petroleum, Dana Gas and HKN Energy have temporarily discontinued mining at the oil fields, although unrecognised damage. Last month, the area exported about 200,000 barrels of oil per day through the pipeline to Turkish Ceyhan Harbor.

Day two,Reuters also quoted close sources stating Saudi Arabia shut down the country's largest refinery - Ras Tanura (in the Saudi Aramco national oil corporation) after being attacked by a drone. The facility has a capacity of 550,000 barrels a day, located in Saudi Arabia's coastal energy complex and is also an important export of crude oil of the country.
On the Al Arabiya Channel, Saudi Defense spokesman Saudi Arabia stated that two drone equipment was intercepted here. The debris caused a small fire, but no casualties.
The closure of Ras Tanura, however, may increase concern over the supply as the freight through the Hormuz Sea nearly stalled. "The attack on the Ras Tanura plant marked significant escalation, when the Gulf Area Power infrastructure now became Iran's target", Torbjorn Soltvedt - analyst at Versier Maplecroft Advisory concluded.
