From futsal to elite grassroots football
Before becoming one of the standout names in Southern Vietnam’s grassroots football scene, Le Anh Tuan had a strong foundation in professional futsal.
He trained and played for Quang Nam Futsal and Sanatech, two environments known for developing quality Vietnamese futsal players. That background helped him build excellent technique, close-control ability and modern football thinking.
From his early days with the ball, Tuan was seen as a player with special qualities. Despite his small frame, he could control the ball, turn away from pressure and beat opponents in tight spaces with rare confidence.

Record maker of Saigon 5-a-side football
To speak about Tuan Neymar is to speak about one of the most successful players in the history of 5-a-side football in Ho Chi Minh City.
In S5 Saigon, widely regarded as the biggest and most prestigious 5-a-side grassroots competition, he became one of the rare players to win both major individual honors in two consecutive years while wearing the shirt of Chim Cánh Cụt FC:
- Best Player of the tournament.
- Golden Ball of the tournament.
It remains a record very few players have been able to repeat.
At his 5-a-side peak, Tuan Neymar was almost a nightmare for every defensive line. His technical moves, direction changes, sharp turns and creative dribbling became his personal trademark.
In one-on-one situations, very few defenders could stop him when he was at his best.

The move that changed everything
Although he was already well known in 5-a-side football, the name Tuan Neymar truly exploded nationwide after one special moment at the national 7-a-side football championship.
At Nha Trang University Stadium, during an attacking move, Tuan produced a spontaneous nutmeg past an opponent before assisting a teammate to score.
That moment quickly spread across social media and was widely shared by the grassroots football community.
Fans at the stadium stood up in excitement. From that moment, the nickname “Tuan Neymar” was no longer just a playful name among friends. It became a brand attached to him in Vietnamese grassroots football.
It was also the turning point that placed his name alongside many of the top grassroots stars from Northern, Central and Southern Vietnam.
